This is a debt consolidation loan.  I have 3 credit cards that I am paying on with an average interest rate of about 13%.  This loan will be applied to those balances, thus bringing my debt to income ratio down even lower once I accomplish this.  I also wanted to reduce my paperwork by paying only one monthly payment as opposed to three.
