First off, I want to apologize for the many loan listings I've done lately.  I did not fully understand how Rewards and Groups worked.  I also wanted to change my Description so everyone can fully understand why I need this loan.

Second, let me tell you about myself -

<span id="lblDescriptionValue">My name is Matt! I am 33 years old and live in the great city of Seattle, Washington.  My only income is Social Security disability.  You may ask why the disability?  I am legally blind due to a rare genetic eye disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa.  It's been a progressive disease that has taken it's course over the past 10 years.  When I was 23 I had full vision and each year it slowly takes a little a little more of my remaining vision.  I've had to learn how to deal with living with impaired vision with aids such as a computer that speaks as I type and a magnifier that enlarges text on the screen.    In the future I plan to go back to school to learn a new skill that will allow me to go back to work full time.

The reason for the request for the loan is 2 years ago after filing for Bankruptcy I applied for a credit card to rebuild my credit.  The interest on that credit card is 29.99% which is quite high and I have a balance of 2199.00 on that card currently.  I would like to get a loan on Prosper.com in order to pay that credit card off and cut it up.  I would rather pay lenders on here the interest versus a credit card company.  Since my bankruptcy I have not been deliquent on any of my bills and slowly rebuilding my credit.  My credit score via Experian is 620.  I also have a relatively low Debt to Income ratio.  It's currently 11% before this loan is counted in.

A little bit about my bankruptcy and the reasons for it.  I lost my job in 2001 and was unable to find another one due to the bad technology sector and the dot com crash.   I did a little consulting but could not keep up with my expenses.  In early 2003 I filed for bankruptcy so I could start with a clean slate, so to speak.  Also, during this time my vision reached the point where I was declared legally blind and this is when I went on disability.   If you have any other questions about this, please feel free to message me.

Here is a list of my monthly income and expenses:
<span id="lblDescriptionValue">
I receive 2200.00 a month in Social Security Disability.

My expenses are as follows:
1000.00 for rent
275.00 a month for utilities (electricity, gas, water, garbage, phone, TV)
200.00 a month for groceries/food
125.00 for health insurance
200.00 a month for credit card bills
50.00 a month for bus/transportation costs

Paying off this credit card would really help with my overall plan for the future.  I would like to eventually go back to school and be retrained.

Please help fund my loan!
-Matt
