History: Hello everyone!  This past June I graduated with Cum Laude honors (3.65) from UCLA with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. Since graduation, I have been working in a post-bach program to pursue a medical degree. I was able to get through school debt free, but unfortunately I no longer quailfy for financial aid; thus, my request for a loan.

Credit: As you know, my credit score falls in the C range.  This is a result of my lack of credit history.  I have had one credit card in my life which I rarely use, and have ALWAYS paid on time. I have never had a delinquency, and I am highly motivated to build my credit history. I will not be late in my payments, and under no circumstances will I default on this or any loan. I believe that Prosper's DTI calculation is wrong...I have no outstanding loans, or credit card balances (other than this loan).

Purpose of the Loan: My first two quarters at the UCLA post-bach program has been paid for by my parents; they however, have encouraged me to take out a loan to support myself for this next quarter.  Tutions and books will not exceed the loan amount. In fact I only needed $1900.00, however $2550.00 is the minimum loan amount in California.

Plan to Pay it Back: I have been volunteering at a lab these past two quarters and they have recently agreed to give me a paid position.  I will be working 20 hours a week for 18 dollars an hour. I live a frugal lifestyle (like most students!), and I will not have problems paying the loan off monthly. Thank you for your interest in my loan request.

All questions are appreciated!
