Thanks for reviewing my listing! I am 27, I own my own home and I have a great job working for my family?s plumbing company as the office manager. I spent the first two years out of college volunteering in an elementary school working on reading skills, and then a year getting my Masters In Teaching. Those two years did a number on my credit cards and I have one final one that I need to get paid off. Once that loan is paid off, I?ll be able to contribute some of my income to investing in Prosper as a lender. I drive a company vehicle, so I have no vehicle costs. My cell phone is also paid for by the company. If you check my credit report, you may notice that there is a JC Penny?s account that is attributed to me from 1990. To my knowledge, they?re not handing out credit cards to 10 year olds. I?ve gone round and round with both JC Penny?s and the credit agencies, and I haven?t been able to get it removed. My real credit history starts in 1998 with my first credit card, which was for the Bon Marche. I got it under the direction of my mom, so I could start establishing credit early. I bought my first car when I was 18 and had it paid off 5 months later. My monthly budget is as follows Income $2400 Mortgage $1400 Credit cards $300 Utilities $200 Food $200 Life/Disability Insurance $120 Misc/Savings/etc $170 I have my bills well in hand and I keep my discretionary spending to a minimum. I am just tired of feeling like I?m getting nowhere with the credit card debt. Thanks for looking! Jenny |
