ABOUT ME

I am 35 years old and work hard for a living as a Quality Planner for a circuit board assembly house. I am recently divorced and I am trying to pay off my debt that accumulated during the marriage. I became divorced because of financial issues among other disagreements we had with each other. Living is Los Angeles is pretty expensive and trying to pay for all expenses on one salary was extremely difficult.

During the marriage, I frequently needed to borrow money from my father in order to make the monthly payments. Now that I am not married anymore, I am currently staying with my father rent free so I am able to focus solely on my debt.  My plan is to save money to someday buy a house start a family.

MY FINANCIAL DETAILS

Due to maximum character restrictions, please refer to my profile for a break down of my net income and monthly payments.  Below are my credit card accounts and balances which I will be focusing this loan for.

Capitol One - $3800
Washington Mutual - $5000
HSBC - $1200

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

In January 2000, I filed for bankruptcy. In my youth, I never learned how to manage my money and thought I could always pay it back. The work I did at the time sent me all over the country as a service technician. I thought I made good money ($42,000/yr) and it would never be a problem to pay back. Once I realized how hard it really was to pay off everything, I received advice from a financial lawyer who recommended to file for bankruptcy. I took his advice and spent the last 7 years rebuilding my credit and managing my money.

Before my marriage, my credit score was 742, as of today, my score is 692 according to Experian. My parents always raised me to never do something unless you are willing to accept the responsibility for it. I learned that the hard way back in 2000.

I hate using credit cards and prefer to use my debit card because then I only use the money I have and not the money I wish I had. In the next month or two I will be getting a salary raise at my work. I don't know exactly how much that will be but it should increase about $200 per month. Also, in June, I will no longer have my ex-wife on my medical plan which will add an additional $250 per month.

In total I will eventually be placing approximately $800-$1000 per month into my savings account to save for a house and the rest toward the loan. You may ask me any questions you wish.

I have no secrets regarding my finances. I will be very open, honest, and truthful.

Thank you for your time.
