Hello, my name is Michael Barnes and I am looking for a loan to payoff a high interest rate credit card. I am currently a second year law school student and I work part-time as a bartender. My student loan provides me $1500 a month, and I make about $750 a week tending bar. My dti is high for two reasons: 1. My student loans show up in payment status even though the payments are deffered until after I graduate. It makes it look on my credit report as if I have an extra $2,000 a month in payments that I don't have. #2 reason for my dti being so high is that as a bartender most of my income is tips and is not reflected on my paycheck stub. I could put my actually income down here, but I wouldn't be able to prove it. Why I am a Good Risk I am making good money right now, and I actually already make pretty big payments on this card (normally around $200 a month). I will be able to make this Prosper payment without there being any real economic stress because it is a payment that I have already budgeted. Also, I used to work for Wells Fargo in the lending department so I understand the importance of having good credit. Mine is a credit grade E not because of DQ's or late payments, but because of my high credit card utilization rate. This occured because when I first started law school I pretty much had to max out all my cards. I am paying them down and that is what this loan will help do. Thank you for your consideration.
