Thank you for reading my listing. I am a stay at home, homeschooling, mother of five. My husband is a small business owner. We have very little debt outside of our mortgage. Our only credit cards are used for auto repair emergencies and buying books that are needed for our schooling. Our credit rating dropped when my husband started his first company in July of 2004. We concentrated on building the business up strong by putting the money back into the company to hire top notch employees and offer a great benefit package. Our mortgage was paid on time but we allowed the other personal bills to be paid late. This was a risky plan and resulted in really high credit card interest rates. It?s no longer the case though and all our bills are being paid monthly. The credit card companies have been lowering the rates as our payment history grows, but it?s just not going down fast enough. We attempted to refinance and include the credit debt to side step those rates, but because the company was so new, we had a hard time getting a low enough rate on the re-fi to make it worth it. Prosper seems to be the answer for us. I am currently a lender because I love the idea of helping others along with the little I have to offer. But it doesn?t make sense to me to continue eating away our future with these outrageous credit card rates. So it?s time to try out the other side and become a borrower. The money from this loan will go to pay off those cards completely and to buy the next round of books for the fall. Repayment is not a problem as we?ve already been paying monthly and have steady income now. Thank you very much for reading to the end and considering me for your loan. Nothing would make me happier than to be washed clean of these rates. It almost makes me sick to look at my statements.
