ABOUT ME: I am a 35 year old, single, female with no children (although I plan to get married someday and have kids). I am a veterinarian for a pharmaceutical company and have been with them (Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica) now for 3 years and 4 months. Prior to that I worked for Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine as an intern, resident, then faculty in their equine medicine and surgery department. I also raise high quality, reining, quarter horses that I have set up as an LLC. I still have my first horse that I got when I was 10 years old. He will be 31 years old this year. :) I am very honest and loyal. I spent 9 years in college getting a BS, MS, and DVM degree. After vet school, and debt already ensuing, I specialized in equine (horses) veterinary medicine and did a 4 year internship and residency to become board certified in equine medicine. As an intern and resident, I worked 80+ hours a week and made less than $20,000 a year. During this 4 years, my father took off and left me to care for my 14 year old sister and ill mother. I also inherited the family horse farm during this busy difficult time ? 40+ horses. SO?..I did the best to sell all I could, work, study and care for my family. I racked up A LOT of debt. At one point ? over $250,000. I am now down to $40,000??.. 4 years later, but I want it to go away so I can get on with my life. Maybe buy a house and invest more in my horse business. I am SICK of credit cards and their 20+% interest rates. I ALWAYS pay my bills. I am a Christian, and desire to live my life here in this world as a better steward of God?s talents and opportunities He has given me. I want to be a better financial steward so I can help others more. EXPLANATION OF CREDIT: I am very responsible with my finances, and am a little disturbed that my credit rating is a D. I have NEVER not paid my bills. There are some late entries on my credit report which I have disputed, but if you look through my entire report?..you will see I have bought and paid off 2 houses, 3-4 cars, and numerous credit cards. I always pay EVERYTHING off. Not sure why I am a D. I am a bit upset over this. Anyway, the credit card companies make it so you can never get ahead, and I am looking to get out of debt at a lower interest rate than what they have to offer. WHAT I WILL DO WITH THE MONEY LOANED TO ME: Pay all to credit cards. MY MONTHLY FINANCIAL DETAILS: Net Income (not including bonus): $5200.00 Rent: $1000.00 Tithe: $500.00 Electricity and water: $275.00 Cable/internet: $100.00 Food: $300 Horse business: $1000.00 Misc expenses: $200.00 Credit cards not paid by Prosper loan: $600.00 Phone: paid for by company Car/gas/insurance: paid for by company ---------------------------------------------------- Total monthly expenses: $3975.00 I will have $1225.00 left to make payments on my Prosper Loan. IN CLOSING: I am honest and hard working, and care very much about my financial integrity. I just want to get out of debt so I can get on with life ? buy a house, invest in my horse business, and hopefully soon raise a family. I also desire to help others in need. I will pay off my debt ALWAYS on time and in full. |
