Hi, My name is Chris. I am 27 years old from Dacula, GA. I have been married for 2 years and we have one child and another one on the way. I am so close to being finished with college. I am pursuing a BBA in Accounting at North Georgia College and State University. I am a year away from graduating. I need help with tuition costs so I can finish. Accountant starting salaries around the Atlanta area are around 35 to 40 thousand a year. I work as an assistant service manager and as a server at Chilis. I have been at the job over a year and in the restaurant industry for over 5 years. My credit mistakes happened around 6 years ago when I first started college. Like a lot of other college students, I was bombarded with credit card offers. I receieved 5 credit cards in a years time. I did not understand credit and what having a bad credit score could do to you. I have spent the last 4 years trying to clean up my credit and get back on track. I have 2 low limit (300 and 200) credit cards that I received over a year ago that I have not been late on yet. The current deliquences I have on file now are attributed to some of those credit cards I defaulted on 4 to 6 years ago and some collection accounts. I had a score of around 370 3 years ago. I have raised it to an average of 550 on my credit reports. I really want to have great credit so I can buy my family a house in about 3 years. I really want to finish school so I can give my family the life they deserve with financial security. The great thing right now is that my family and I have very few bills. We have a great rental price on the house we rent and we only have one car payment which is only 230 a month. Our left over income every month after rent, food, gas, bills, and car payment is 700 dollars. I have more than enough to pay the loan and some to start saving as well.
