I am looking for a loan to consolidate some high interest debt. As you can see from my credit report, I have perfect payment history, but high debt. Let me explain how that came to be.

I got married in 2000. I was in college in 2003 (physics education) with one daughter and another on the way. Suddenly, I became very ill and literally would crawl up stairs to my classes because I refused to drop out. It's difficult to swallow dropping out after having been an honor student for two years. After realizing I could not function like that, I finally relented. I then went through over a year of medical procedures to get me healthy. Of course, the credit cards were used to pay for these procedures and surgery (thus the credit card debt). I also taught myself how to build and repair computers, and that helped pay the bills as well during this time. After pulling through fully recovered in 2004, I obviously could not go back to school with the debt I incurred, so I got a job in collections. Since then, I have been so good at what I do, I have received five promotions in two years, and am now at the top of my profession as a Recovery Specialist. I will get another promtion at the end of this month when I become certified bilingual (Spanish). I am now looking to consolidate this debt that I have carried for four years now and NEVER missed a payment on. I also own two cars free and clear. Now, to the numbers.

Net Income: Minimum $2400, and this does not include side jobs that I still perform, nor my wife's income.
Expenses: $2063, and this includes the credit cards I will be paying off below.

Here's the credit cards (including my wife's that are on my credit report):
Discover: $330
Discover: $65
MBNA: $610
MBNA: $120
Citibank: $280
Citibank: $45
Citibank: $25
Chase: $50
Total: $1525

Many of these I pay over the minimum, so that's what I pay, not the minimums. Here is what it will look like after this loan (if $25,000 is fully funded):
Discover: 0
Discover: $40
MBNA: $250
MBNA: $110
All Citibank: 0
Chase: 0
This loan: $1048 at 29% (and possibly lower depending on bids)
Total: $1448

Therefore, by funding me this money, I will save $77 per month, you will make a ton of money in interest, and the credit card companies get a lot less. I plan on paying the full three years. Here are my credit scores from today:

TransUnion: 678
Experian: 670
Equifax: 673

That is obviously not bad considering the debt I carry. Now, to the future.

I have four beautiful children. Since my job is directly related to credit, I cannot afford to miss payments on anything or my job could be in jeopardy. That, combined with my payment history and explanation of my debt I believe should alleviate any fears that I may not be worth your consideration. Like I said, there is a ZERO chance of default. Please feel free to ask any questions. Thank you for looking!
