I am requesting a loan of $12,000 to pay off moving expenses and debt acquired while I was finishing my Master?s degree. In 2004, I completed my Master?s degree and received my National Certification as a Nurse Midwife. In 2005, God called me to a small town to serve the underserved women of the area, so we packed up and moved. In 2006, God called me to move again to another state, where I joined a practice of 3 other Christian Midwives. By calling me to this new practice, I am now able to have time to spend with my son and husband, as before I was working or on-call 24/7. Unfortunately, our house in the previous state has not sold yet. So we have been making both a house and a rent payment. I am determined to get out of the clutches of the credit card companies, and to quit giving my extra money to them. By obtaining this loan with a lower interest rate, I will be able to obtain this goal faster, and be able to start saving money that I can put to use by furthering God?s calling in my life to go on medical missions, so that I can continue to help serve the underserved women throughout the world. Our household income is projected to be over $100,000 this year. Even with the house and rent payments, I have continued to always pay more on the credit cards than the minimal payments. My minimum monthly payment equals on average $340. I have been paying anywhere between $550 -$800 a month, to pay them off faster. With this loan I will be able to accomplish this goal much faster.
