Dear Lenders, I am 32 years old and my goal is to pay off my credit cards in 2008, such as capital One, Providian, etc. The APR?s have jumped to 31% on one, and around 18% on others. Once all my debt is paid off, I plan to save towards buying a home of my own. I have been renting for a while now, and want to make the next step of becoming a homeowner. Objective is to become debt free by 2008. I am a recent MBA graduate, and have come into the fold of our family insurance business working with my father and sister. Not only did I take a pay cut to do so, I am working my hardest for my salary of $35k a year. I can show steady employment for the past 13 years, in the computer and insurance industry. I filed for bankruptcy back in 1999, and have worked very hard at keeping my credit reports clean and maintaining a healthy credit score. I heard of Prosper from a friend, and this is where I am right now. I have 3 more years of my bankruptcy being on my record, and wish to pay off all remaining debts by that time. I keep saying in my mind ?Debt Free?; I will get there this is why I am here.
