Hello, I want to thank the group again for allowing me to be apart of something so innovative. I am overwhelmed by this new and exciting way to borrow money from good people like myself. It feels like I am apart of some wonderful community where everyone's common goal is to help each other. The purpose of this loan is to buy my long-time girlfriend an engagement ring. It is a beautiful diamond ring with over 2 carats in diamonds. I ask for this loan because I am working with a very reputable wholesale diamond dealer who does not handle financing at his place of business. I already have offers from such institutions as MBNA and American General who are ready to lend the money at a comparable interest rate, but would like to test the waters in this new peer to peer lending group. I am about to accept a new job at the GAP corporate office in San Francisco and will be receiving a healthy signing bonus, all of which I plan to use to pay down my loan. I will also be paying down the loan at an accelerated rate, far above the minimum monthly payment required.
