I just became a RN six months ago. Because of my student status in tax year 06 I overutilized my credit cards, and the Credit Card companies doubled my interest rates. Also because I was only working as an RN in 06 for 5 months my taxable verifiable income is only $30,000 for '06. (My income has tripled as a result of becoming an RN and that is why I borrowed so much, because I knew my income would triple)My most recent bi-weekly paystub was for approximately $3000 gross. And, my expected income for '07 is $80,000. The breakdown for this is as follows:3 12 hour shifts at main employer @ hourly rate = $19.10, night time pay differential adds approximately $5/hour on avg.1 additional 12 hour Overtime shift at main employer @ above rate x 1.5.Furthermore, recently hired at Nurse Staffing, a temp agency which allows me to pick up additional 12 hour shifts on a per-diem basis. Hourly rate is approximately $31/hour. I intend on adding 1-2 shifts weekly with them until I am completely Debt free. P.S. Yes I also do intend on paying this loan in less than 3 years (and based on my high income I can do it easily), It is my goal to pay off all my debt in my life as soon as possible to begin living a debt free life. |
