As you can see, I've got excellent credit numbers across the board. I am an Accountant by profession and am a homeowner looking to do some basic kitchen and bathroom remodeling to my home. I currently have a very low rate mortgage and home equity loan, but I don?t want to give up my low fixed rates by refinancing.
I make an excellent salary, I have no dependents, I pay my credit cards off every month, I have no car loan, and no other debt besides my mortgage. I contribute to my company?s 401k plan, I pay an additional $500 against my mortgage principal each month, and I have over $400 automatically transferred to savings every month. Even AFTER these and the rest of my living expenses, I have almost $900 left over. So, as you can see, there is plenty of cushion built-in to my budget for repayment of this loan.
