RateLadder.com is the founder of ProProsper.com, which is one of the great third-party sites, and the only one known to me that allows users to write arbitrary SQL queries against an augmented Prosper data dump. He's done extensive studies Prosper data and is very savvy about funding rates, groups, and a host of other Prosper arcana. I'm eager to see what kind of listings his group brings in!

Any listing from the Malana Ohana group is about as sure a bet as there is on Prosper. Even with the really low rate cap, Ohana loans get funded--and for good reason. This is community lending as was intended. I've put in $500. I didn't even bother to read the listing. If it's a Malana Ohana listing, I bid. That's it.

I can recommend this borrower w/o reservation because (1) ------- gives lenders so much information about borrowers that we have no trouble doing extensive due diligence before bidding, and (2) ------- has a 100% ID-theft guarantee and supremely responsive customer service (the CTO in particular). Fraud investigations never get to the point where a disgruntled borrower has to publicly rub their noses in it before they spring into action and...do what?

Malama Ohana listings are the best there are anywhere on Prosper. The group embodies community lending as Prosper intended it, and it's one of the very few groups that actually practice it. I'm a huge supporter of Malama Ohana, of its group leader Islandmele, and will bid aggressively on any listing in this group. If only all Prosper borrowers were as reliable.

I had the pleasure of meeting catpt in Hawaii last month at the Aloha M&G (when's the next one?), and any member of the Malama Ohana group is worth serious consideration and determined bidding. This is the only group on Prosper that really embodies what Prosper had in mind, and the borrowers are solid gold. Everybody should pile into Ohana listings.
